Program Overview

The Decolonizing Education Certificate is designed for individuals who want to develop their capacity to understand Indigenous perspectives in the history of colonization to contemporary realities in Canada and are interested in responding to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) calls for action in a meaningful way.

Who Will Benefit From This Training?

Any individual or educator who wants to build their understanding of Canada’s history and TRC Calls for Action.

This training opportunity will benefit those individuals who have little to no exposure to Indigenous knowledge, history, or Indigenous studies or educators who want to deepen their subject knowledge.

One-Day Certification of Participation – $150
Two-Day Certification – Module Completion $300

Alternatively, applicants may register for the entire certificate program and receive the Decolonizing Education Certificate through Wilfrid Laurier.
