Program Overview
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) Living Classroom Program is a partnership model that integrates education into a long-term care or retirement home to support workforce development in senior living. PSW Living Classroom students will complete the majority of their work online and will have 1 day per week of in-person learning.
Admission Requirements
OSSD or equivalent, ENG 4C or ENG 4U. If English is not your first language, an English competency test may be required.
Non-Academic Requirements
- TB Testing, hepatitis B immunization
- CPIC/VS (required before admissions and before clinical)
- Mask Fit Testing, WHMIS, CPR/First Aid
- A yearly flu shot may be a requirement
