This summer, we invite you to join Experience Kenjgewin Teg Aambe!a hands-on learning program designed for adult learners (18+) who want to earn a high school credit while exploring new skills.

Whether you’re returning to school or continuing your path toward an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, this free summer program offers a supportive way to build confidence, connect with community, and gain career-ready skills.

What You’ll Experience

You’ll take part in a wide variety of unique, hands-on learning experiences, including:

  • Welding
  • Anishinaabemowin
  • Sewing
  • Carpentry
  • WHMIS Certification
  • Problem Solving & Leadership Skills
  • Cooking
  • Hiking
  • Canoeing
  • 3D Printing
  • Gardening
  • First Aid / CPR
  • Beading
  • Safe Food Handlers Certification
  • Other hands-on activities – To Be Announced!

Who Can Apply?

This program is FREE and open to anyone 18 years or older who is working toward or wants to earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma

When and Where

Location: Kenjgewin Teg, Main Campus, M’Chigeeng, ON, Mnidoo Mnising (Manitoulin Island)
Program Dates:

  • June 27

  • July 14–17, 21–24, 28–31

  • August 5–7

Daily programming includes lunch. Transportation support may be available.
