M’Chigeeng, ON – Kenjgewin Teg is proud to announce the successful launch of its brand-new Alumni Platform and Perks Program, a dynamic initiative that strengthens lifelong connections and offers meaningful benefits to graduates of the organization’s diverse learning programs.
With the new platform now live, Kenjgewin Teg alumni can reconnect, celebrate their accomplishments, and continue their learning journeys together. Whether it’s accessing exclusive perks, hearing about job opportunities, or staying in the loop on community events and professional development, the platform is designed to keep alumni connected in ways that are both purposeful and personal.
“Our new alumni program will become a unique way for our graduates to stay connected to our Kenjgewin Teg lifelong learning community,” said Beverley Roy, President of Kenjgewin Teg. “I am especially proud of our alumni program as one of the many ‘perks’ that will be continued opportunities for alumni to stay connected to Anishinaabe-aadiziwin. We know that students are only with us for a short time during their programs of study, and listening and learning to the teachings of Anishinaabe-aadiziwin takes a lifetime.”
Key features of the new Alumni Platform include:
- Exclusive Perks: Alumni-only discounts and benefits from local and regional businesses.
- Mentorship Opportunities: A growing alumni network that can support and guide current learners or recent graduates through shared experience and wisdom.
- Networking Opportunities: A space to share stories, connect with fellow graduates, and grow both personally and professionally.
- Community Spotlights: Celebrate alumni achievements through regular features and success stories.
- Job and Training Alerts: Stay informed about employment, training, and education opportunities.
This launch marks a new chapter in Kenjgewin Teg’s ongoing efforts to honour Anishinaabe knowledge and strengthen the lifelong journey of education and community wellness. Early response to the platform has been overwhelmingly positive, with many alumni signing up and exploring what’s available.
Kenjgewin Teg invites all past learners to register for the Alumni Platform and take advantage of the perks and opportunities available now, regardless of when or what they studied.
“I really encourage our alumni to register and share what they’ve been up to since graduating from Kenjgewin Teg,” concluded Ms. Roy. “We are really honoured to have been one small part of their lives and look forward to seeing the paths they’ve taken, the successes they’ve achieved, and how their time with us continues to shape their journeys.”
