Academic Upgrading

Have you been out of school for some time and need to update your skills? 

Missing required courses or need higher grades to apply for a college program?

Academic Upgrading can help you achieve your postsecondary, apprenticeship, or career goals. You will learn at a flexible pace and choose the courses that are right for you. Begin your journey with us!

Program Overview

This flexible training is tailored to suit your educational and/or employment goals. You can attend
these programs on a full- or part-time basis to suit your busy schedule.​


​Academic and Career Entrance Program (ACE)

The ACE program allows you to upgrade your academic skills and prepares you for further education. Studies may include communications, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. Successful completion of the ACE Program provides a Grade 12 equivalence that is recognized for admission to college post-secondary programs and apprenticeship training in Ontario.

Admission Requirements
  • Ontario residents 19 years of age and older
  • Must complete a math and/or English skills assessment
  • Proficient in English (speaking and listening)

Tuition Fees
Free

Program Highlights
  • Enroll at any time (continuous intake)
  • Upgrade to a level required for direct entry into college or apprenticeship programs
  • Improve employability skills
  • Attend on a full-time or part-time basis
  • Work at a flexible pace in a supportive learning environment
  • Study in a welcoming environment and enjoy the privileges of a College student
  • Learners may qualify for childcare support and/or transportation allowances
  • Does not apply to Deaf learners.
